Corrupted Cosmonaut
Find the password and unlock a secret toy!
Corrupted Cosmonaut was created for the Fungus Fighters Paper Jam. This was the first ever Paper Jam running in late 2020 (more info below). The brief was to design a card-back style figure with a fungal theme. This toy is inspired by a Cordyceps, the 'zombie' fungus, which are known for parasitizing insects. This retro-futuristic Cosmonaut has met an unfortunate fate at the hands of this mushroom via a mysterious infected rock!
Inside the download, as well as the toy, you'll find clues to the toys mysterious backstory. If you can find the hidden password you'll unlock a secret toy and some extra story elements!
Designer Notes
The Cosmonaut utilises some paper engineering tricks to achieve a one piece design! The template wraps around itself from a central point, with the help of sink tabs. You can also use packaging plastic to create a solid visor.
